What do we need to bring?

On arrival, your dog will be given their ID tag for their stay with us. They will also have their own box for all of their belongings. This way, we can make sure each dog leaves with exactly what they came with.

Please feel free to bring anything that you think will help your dog feel most at home. We have plenty of dog beds, blankets, towels for your dog to use so you don’t need to bring yours from home. However, if you feel your dog would be happier with theirs from home. This is OK too.

We do kindly ask that all dog bowls stay at home for a variety of reasons. We have plenty of dog bowls readily available here, and using ours means we can ensure that our cleaning procedure is suitably followed and maintained at a high standard. This helps us provide a safe and hygienic environment for all our guests. That being said, this can be discussed if your dog has a necessary requirement for a specific bowl.

If your dog has a favourite toy, again, please feel free to bring it along. This will be kept away from all communal areas and will be purely for them during their stay.

Please bring their leads/collar/harness so that we know that they are happy using them.

If your dog prefers to sleep in their crate, we also have multiple available.

Please provide your dogs food during their stay with us.

Do you accept all dogs?

We do not accept dogs younger than 9 months old.

All dogs must be house trained and non- destructive.

Do all dogs have to be vaccinated?

Yes, all dogs need to be fully vaccinated and this includes kennel cough. We will be asking for a copy of these records prior to their meet and greet.

All dogs also need to be up to date with their worming and flea treatment.

Do you keep in touch?

Yes! We love sharing pictures/videos of our daily adventures with you.

Where will my dog sleep at night?

We have sofas, dog beds, crates and blankets. So wherever your dog likes to sleep at home, they can sleep here too. They are part of our family during their stay.

Can my dog stay if they are on medication?

Yes they can, dependant on the medication. I am happy to administer most medications as long as I have exact instructions. All medications will be stored per instructions.

Do you accept dogs that are raw fed?

No, we do not. This policy is in place to help us minimise the risk of cross-contamination, particularly concerning bacterial infections that can affect both dogs and our household members. We prioritise the health and safety of every dog in our care.

Do you accept puppies?

We happily accept dogs that are over the age of nine months old, provided that they are not destructive in behaviour and are fully house trained.

Do you accept un-spayed females and entire males?

Yes, we do accept un-spayed females as long as they are not in season or due to be in season around the time of their stay with us.

We do not accept in tact males.

Are you first aid trained?

Yes, I have completed my Canine First Aid Training and an additional course in Canine Behaviour and Training.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I have insurance with pet plan.

How much exercise will my dog get?

It will depend on the breed/age of your dog along with any health conditions they may have. However, every dog that stays will have the amount of exercise that they need.

With two acres of land, we have plenty of space for dogs to exercise and play. Having said that, we understand dogs like new and interesting places to visit (smell), so we will include alternative walks as well.

Will my dog share spaces?

Each dog from a different household will have their own safe space, this will be where they enjoy their meal time and sleep.

No dogs from mixed households will be left unsupervised.

There are communal areas for dogs to play or cuddle up together if they wish to do so.

What if my dog becomes ill whilst staying with you?

If in the unlikely instance your dog becomes ill during their stay, we will contact you and let you know. If possible, we will book an appointment with your vets, alternatively, we will use our vets as agreed in our boarding form. We have a signed preventative health care plan approved by Blake vets in place.

Do you have set drop off/pick up times?

We understand how busy life can be and how certain drop off/pick up times just don’t work for some, therefore , we do not have set drop off/pick up times. However, we do ask that drop offs are not before 8am and pick ups by 8pm. This is so that we don’t unsettle any dogs that are already staying with us.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes please, we take a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking once the booking form has been completed.
