Meet & Greet
Every dog that stays with us, will be invited to join us for a meet & greet prior to arrival. This will include an introduction to our two resident dogs and will include a short walk, outdoor play time and we welcome you to take a look around our home. This is the perfect time for us to get to know you and your dog.
Daily updates
We understand how difficult it can be to leave your beloved dogs in the care of someone else while you're away. To ease your concerns, we offer to send daily updates, which will include photographs/videos showcasing our daily activities together. Your dog's happiness and well-being are our top priorities, and we want you to feel connected, no matter the distance.
Dog Friendly
We have two permanent resident dogs here at The Old Mill - Dog Retreat, named Rolo and Missy, who are both lovely Labradors. Therefore, we kindly require that your dog is able to get along well with other dogs during their stay with us. That being said, if at any time we feel that any dog is becoming uncomfortable or stressed while being around another, we will take the necessary steps to ensure their wellbeing. We have ample areas available to create a safe and comfortable space for all dogs who choose to stay with us.
Drop off/ pick up
We currently do not have set drop-off and pick-up times as we understand that schedules can be busy.
However, we do kindly ask for drop offs to be no earlier than 8am and no later than 8pm for pick ups.
We're happy to discuss your specific needs to find the best times that work for you.
Our day
Each stay will be bespoke and personalised to meet the specific needs of your dog. We will carefully shape the entire day around the individual dogs that we have staying with us, ensuring they receive the best possible experience. To facilitate this, we kindly ask you to fill in a comprehensive boarding form prior to the scheduled meet and greet. This information will greatly help us to understand your dog's requirements and preferences.
Our home
In addition to our two friendly Labradors, we will only be accepting a maximum of three additional dogs (from two households only ). This policy will ensure that every dog staying with us has plenty of space and adequate time dedicated to them. During their stay, they will be part of our family.
